Conference held by Prof. Amira Meir of Beit Berl College in Jerusalem, dedicated to the ketubah of Shelomo Ben Zarch of Carcassone, who was a Sardinian Jew with Provencal origins. The text was written in Alghero in the 14th century, and is a particularly significant piece of historical evidence of life in the city’s old Jewish quarter, which is currently undergoing regeneration and renovation.

At the end of the conference, there will be a projection about the Jewish quarter of Alghero and the restoration work.
